Tim Droege came to Los Angeles to attend business school in 2013, he's always had an appetite for Sushi and was fascinated by Japanese cuisine & culture. He decided to learn about making Sushi and attended The Katsuya Sushi School.

His first job was at Katsuya Hollywood as a sous chef. After some time, he decided to go to Germany & start his first sushi restaurant.

Tim Droege is now Barazen's full-time head chef.

The Private Hand Roll Bar concept began over a conversation between friends on Sushi. Ever since, Barazen started catering exclusively to private events & weddings. The menu is straightforward, yet every roll made with passion.

The concept of hand rolls isn't new in any way, yet it grew in popularity in recent years. Barazen is attempting to revolutionize the events industry with this new concept.

Barazen is an experience that specializes in crafting premium sushi handrolls with the finest ingredients.

We are focused on creating an authentic and unique experience that combines Japanese culture and cuisine with a Californian style & flavor.
